[edit] Events

  • The Goa’uld system Lord Apophis, found a secret cache of Stargate addresses left by Ra, and began a systematic sweep of forgotten worlds, seeking new treasure and potential hosts for his Queen, Amaunet. One of these planets included the Tau'ri Stargate, where Apophis sent a small serpent attack force through, kidnapping a female guard and killing several others. (SG1: "Children of the Gods")

  • Daniel left the Abydonians, and accompanied O’Neil and his team back to Earth, when Sha're became the host to Amaunet and Skaara became host to the children of the Goa'uld. Daniel Jackson, promised not to return to Abydos until he found them. (SG1: "Children of the Gods")

  • The Charter of the SGC was signed by the President of the United States on February 22, founding Stargate Command. As a result, General Hammond was given authorisation by the President to form nine covert teams, designated SG-1 to SG-9. Their standing orders included, acquiring weapons or technology that could help Earth in the fight against the Goa'uld, whilst establishing alliances with the people of other worlds. O'Neill was given command of SG-1, with Samantha Carter as his second-in-command and Daniel Jackson accompanying him, while Kawalsky was given command of SG-2. (SG1: "Children of the Gods").

  • While exploring the planet Chulak, SG-1 are captured and imprisoned. O'Neill however, convinced Apophis’ first prime Teal'c to help them escape and return to Earth. During their mission to Chulak, an Iris protecting the Earths Stargate against unauthorized inbound travelers was installed. (SG1: "Children of the Gods").

  • The SGC discovered that an infant Goa’uld had possessed Kawalsky on Chulak, but while the medical experts attempted to removed the symbiote it blended with Kawalsky, leading to his eventual death. (SG1: "The Enemy Within").

  • Teal’c is assigned as the fourth member of SG-1 by O'Neill's recommendation. (SG1: "The Enemy Within")

  • On the planet Simarka (P3X-593), SG-1 made first contact with the Shavadai, a race of Mongol-like warriors who operated by a strict code, which included a lowly status for women. (SG1: "Emancipation").

  • SG-1 accompanies SG-3 to the planet designated P3X-797, and discovered a world divided between a dark and light side, with a population similarly split between the Touched and the Untouched. The Untouched, lived on the bright side, a Minoan like civilization. The Touched, who live on the dark side, are primitives with the instincts of animals. On returning to Earth, the SG-3 marines and all but two members of the SG-1 team (Daniel and Teal'c) began to exhibit the brutality of the Touched, which rapidly spreads throughout the SGC. General Hammond placed the SGC into quarantine until Doctor Fraiser could created an antidote for the virus. (SG1: "The Broca Divide")

  • On an exploratory mission to planet designated P3X-562, SG-1 made first contact with Unity, a blue crystalline species. (SG1: "Cold Lazarus")

  • SG-1 traveled to the planet designated P3C-117 and made first contact with the Nox. An advanced humanoid race, with amazing healing powers and the capability to make things invisible. (SG1: "The Nox")

  • SG-1 explored the planet Argos (P3X-8596) and made first contact with the Argonians. An ancient Minoan based civilization, whose age was accelerated by nanotechnology, until SG-1 destroyed the technology and allowed the Iranians to live years instead of 100 days. (SG1: "Brief Candle")

  • Daniel Jackson realized that Ernest Littlefield went through the Stargate in 1945 and never returned. SG-1 and Catherine Langford went on a mission to P3X-972 and returned Ernest Littlefield to Earth. On P3X-972, SG1 also uncovered Heliopolis, the meeting place of the Alliance of the Four Races, which included the Ancients, the Nox, the Asgard and the Furling. (SG1: "The Torment of Tantalus")

  • SG-1 traveled to the planet Oannes (P3X-866), and discovered the homeworld of Nem, the sole survivor of an ancient aquatic race. Nem captured Daniel, and learned that Belus had killed his mate Omoroca while attempting to free humans of Earth from the Goa’uld. (SG1: "Fire and Water")

  • A team of archaeologists in Mexico uncovered an ancient tomb with a Sarcophagus inside, which contained the Goa'uld called Hathor. Hathor used an airborn substance to seduce the men at the SGC, with the intention of using the base to breed Goa'uld, but was prevented by Dr Frasier and Samantha Cartar. (SG1: " Hathor")

  • SG-1 traveled to Hanka (P8X-987}, where SG-7 had established an astronomical observatory. But found that the entire population and the visiting SG-7 had been killed by Nirrti, except for a little girl called Cassandra. SG-1 brought Cassandra back to Earth and discovered an explosive device in her chest. Daniel and Carter ascertained that the Goa'uld planted the device as part of a scheme to destroy the Earth's Stargate. Cassandra is adopted by Doctor Frasier and Earth became her new home. The explosive device in Cassandra chest shrank once she was taken away from the Stargate. (SG1: "Singularity")
