Events

When SG-1 returned to Earth, the Stargate malfunctioned and Teal'c became trapped in the Stargate's buffer, and any incoming or outgoing wormholes would have resulted in him becoming lost forever so all operations were temporarily halted. Dr. Daniel Jackson negotiated with Russians to use their Dial Home Device and managed to remove Teal'c from the Stargate buffer. Unfortunately, the Russian DHD was damaged beyond repair in the process while Dr. Meredith Rodney McKay who had arrived to help Major Samantha Carter was reassigned to Russia. (SG1: "48 Hours")

Anubis returns, and is awarded the status of System Lord. (SG1: "Last Stand")

On the planet Langara (P2S-4C3), Dr. Daniel Jackson exposed himself to a lethal dose of Radiation in order to prevent a nuclear experiment from going critical and killing thousands of people. As Daniel laid there dying from radiation poisoning, at Stargate Command, Oma Desala offered him Ascension. Daniel accepted and ascended, leaving through the SGC Stargate while the SGC and SG-1 struggle to come to terms with his departure. (SG1: "Meridian")

Anubis attempts to destroy the planet by using a Stargate Destroyer but ultimately fails thanks to the efforts of the SGC. With the ongoing crisis, Dr. Rodney McKay is recalled from Russia on the orders of the Pentagon and temporarily reassigned to the SGC much to Sam Carter's displeasure although McKay later departs the SGC again after the crisis has ended. Jonas Quinn joins SG-1, having been chosen by Jack O'Neill as a suitable member for SG-1 rather than an officer associated with the Russian military. (SG1: "Redemption, Part 2")

Colonel Jack O'Neill was captured and tortured by Ba'al. During his torture, Dr. Daniel Jackson appeared to Jack as an Ascended being and comforted him. Eventually, Jack escaped and returned to Stargate Command. (SG1: "Abyss")

Earth built its first starship, called Prometheus, which was the product of combining their own technologies with those of the Goa'uld and Asgard. (SG1: "Prometheus")

Madison Miller was born to Kaleb and Jean Miller. (SGA: "McKay and Mrs. Miller")
