- The Atlantis expedition discovered the underwater drilling platform that the Ancients built on Lantia. While surveying the facility, the team encountered and killed the Wraith Queen who led the siege on Atlantis. She had survived the 10,000 years since that time by hibernating and feeding off of her crew until only she remained.

- The IOA sent the newest 304 to Pegasus, the Apollo, with the Horizon Weapons Platform to destroy the warships that the Asurans were building on their homeworld. In retaliation, the Asurans send an Asuran Stargate satellite weapon to Lantea, which fires a high energy beam on Atlantis. To escape this beam, the expedition evacuate Lantea by launching Atlantis into space, by using the ZPM and the emergy from the underwater drilling platform.

- While Atlantis is traveling through space to their new homeworld (M35-117), the city-ship drops out of hyperspace due to damage substained by the Asuran Stargate satellite weapon. While repairing Atlantis however, the ZPM power levels drop below the minimum level to jump into hyperspace again and continue their journey to M35-117. AR-1 and Weir therefore decide to use an experimental hyperdrive generator on a puddle jumper to travel to Asuras and steal a ZPM from the Asurans. During the mission however, Weir was discovered and captured by the Asurans. AR-1, without Weir, return to Atlantis and use the captured ZPM to power the city-ship's decent onto a new homeworld (M35-117).
