The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (commonly known as ATF) is a Tau'ri law enforcement agency of the United States of America, somewhat similar to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. For sometime in 1999, the ATF has been tracking a cult lead by Seth, because they were heavily armed and fortified in their base north of Seattle, Washington. They clashed with SG-1 investigating the cult of Setesh. The ATF were technically in charge of the operation, until the President contacted the agent in charge of the operation, James Hamner, giving SG-1 the authority. (SG1: "Seth")
