Lantean defense satellite

Lantean defense satellites were spaceborne weapons platforms created by the Lanteans, which were used during their war with the Wraith.

Though approximately as large as a Goa'uld Ha'tak vessel, the satellites appeared to have relatively little internal space, with a control room accessible by an airlock capable of connecting with a puddle jumper. Its power requirements are also fairly low, to the point where its primary weapon could be run using a single naquadah generator. It carries at least one energy beam weapon, powerful enough to destroy a Wraith hive ship in one shot; whether that is the full extent of its armament, and whether it had any other defensive capacity, such as a shield, is unknown.

Several such satellites were placed in Lantea's solar system, though most were destroyed by the Wraith. One, located at one of the system's Lagrangian points, was located by the Atlantis Expedition; it had suffered some damage, its shield was damaged beyond repair, and its power supply was depleted. A team from Atlantis managed to reactivate the satellite and used it to destroy one of the three hive ships then enroute to Atlantis, but the satelite was too badly damaged to fire again, and the remaining Wraith ships destroyed the satellite.
