Anubis was a Human who was leader of Ra's Horus Guards, as well as being his First Prime, having previously been trained as a Jackal Guard. He had great physical prowess, being able to break a staff weapon in half with his bare hands. He was killed when Jack O'Neill decapitated him using a ring transporter.
It is possible that he was named after the Goa'uld of the same name.
