[edit] History
Apophis used his Ha'tak as his command vessel when he and his son Klorel took two Hataks to destroy Earth. His vessel's shield was able to withstand a Naquadah enhanced Nuclear bomb launched from Earth. But his vessel was destroyed when SG-1 infiltrated his son Klorel's vessel and planted C4 all over the ship. After being captured and being escaping with the help of Bra'tac they headed to the Pel'tac, when there they took Klorel hostage and changed the course of Klorels vessel so it was closer to Apophis's vessel. They then disabled the shields on Apophis's vessel and escaped in two death gliders. Except for Daniel who escaped using the Stargate on Klorels ship. The after shock of Klorel's vessel exploding destroyed Apophis' vessel. (SG1: "Within the Serpent's Grasp", "The Serpent's Lair")
Since most of Apophis' Jaffa were on board this vessel when it was destroyed he lost most of his Jaffa. When he returned to Chulak, he had only a hand full of Jaffa left who would put their life on the line for him. The others believed that he was a false god and refused to go to join his army. In this time he was vulnerable and didn't have the Jaffa to defend himself if he was attacked. This led to him being captured by Sokar.
[edit] Design
This Ha'tak is like most other Ha'taks. It has two structures a tetrahedron shape as the main structure and with another structure to protect it. Most of the ship important systems like the Pel'tac, the engine room, the Glider bay and the shield generator are located in the main structure, but all the weapons are located on the protective structure.
[edit] Ship Layout
Pel'tac
Like all other Ha'taks you control this ships systems from the Pel'tak Which has a control console with a window just in front of it. The Pel'tak has two doors to leave which are both at the back and unlike other Ha'taks has rings inside the Pel'tak.
Glider Bay
There are at least two parts of a Glider Bay and upper and a lower. The upper Glider bay is were the Gliders are stored and has at least four rows of death gliders with walk ways next to them. This is were you enter your fighter. The lower part of the Glider bay is were Gliders launch into space. After in your fighter in drops down into the lower part of the Glider bay, the wings then unfold and the fighter launches. The lower part of the Glider bay has a door which has a shield over it to prevent decompression.
Sleeping quarters
All over the ship there are some sleeping quarters for the Jaffa soldiers on board the vessel. These rooms can hold twenty or more Jaffa who sleep on bunk beds in rows with walking space between them.
Storage rooms
These vessels have hundreds if not thousands of storage rooms all round the vessel to store equipment, depending on the mission.
[edit] Defenses
Shields
Like all Ha'taks it is protected by an energy shield that is capable of withstanding a naquadah enhanced nuclear bomb explosion, with only receiving some turbulence.
Staff cannons
Like all Ha'taks this vessel is armed with heaps of staff cannons which can be used to attack other vessels or attack a planet from orbit. These aren't placed on the pyramid type structure but the black structure that surrounds the pyramid structure.
