An Athosian fire starter is used by, and possibly built by the Athosians. It is a device that shoots a yellow energy beam to start a fire for heat, light or cooking. The fire starter is possibly evidence that the Athosians were once a technologically advanced race. Teyla Emmagan carries one. (ATL: "Rising", "Hide and Seek")
