Atlantis' infirmary is an area of Atlantis, designated for the diagnosis, treatment and quarantine of ill and injured people and research of the medical sciences. The infirmary is stocked with a variety of Earth medical technology and supplies but there is also some Ancient technology such as a scanner (Dr. Beckett admitted to not having a clue what most of the Ancient technology does).

There appears to be at least three levels for the use of the medical division:

• The General Infirmary
• The Operating Level - Several Operating Theatres.
• The Recovery Level (Ward) - Beds for recovery, There are also quarantine rooms here.
