The Attack on Ba'al Stonghold took place in 2006 between the Tau'ri and the forces of Ba'al after the kidnaping of Teal'c. The Tau'ri were able to defeat Ba'al and stop his plot for control over the Free Jaffa Nation.

Prelude

"As a united nation, you are young and inexperienced, too weak to face an adversary as powerful as the Ori. Gerak proved that. What you need right now is a strong leader. One with the mind and experience to wage war on such a foe."
Ba'al to Teal'c

The Jaffa High Council is debating over a proposal to dissolve the Council and have free election for the new government, when one by one the supporters of this action turn against it. After Ka'lel and Maz'rai, the strongest campaigners for democracy turn against it, Bra'tac and Teal'c try to find out why this happened and to convince those yet undecided of their cause.

At the same time, Teal'c gets kidnapped on Dakara. Bra'tac and Dr. Daniel Jackson investigate his disappearance and, after an interrogation of U'kin, Bra'tac realizes brainwashing is at work. Meanwhile, in his prison, Teal'c discovers that Ba'al is behind the brainwashing of the Council members in order to get himself chosen as leader of the Free Jaffa Nation. Teal'c resists Ba'al's brainwashing and the Goa'uld tries to convince him by telling him that he will help them against the Ori.(SG1: "Stronghold")

The battle

"Teal’c is family. I don’t like people screwing with my family."
Henry Landry

After Teal'c is captured by a Ba'al clone for brainwashing a rescue is set up after Bra'tac follows the brainwashed Ka'lel to P2M-903 where Ba'al had a Ha'tak parked on a pyramid and was trying to brainwash Teal'c. There, several SG teams including SG-1 and SG-3 battle Ba'al's Jaffa soldiers including a fixed Staff cannon emplacement, backed up by Bra'tac piloting an Al'kesh. Bra'tac's Al'kesh is shot down by Death Gliders and Bra'tac is captured. Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell manages to take out the staff cannon with a grenade launcher and makes it to the pyramid's Transportation rings. Lt. Colonel Samantha Carter and Dr. Daniel Jackson save Mitchell from some Jaffa and then ring him into the ship while staying behind to defend the position from the Jaffa which were retreating as they were getting overrun by the Tau'ri forces. On board Ba'al's Ha'tak, Teal'c is apparently successfully brainwashed and is brought an injured Bra'tac to execute with a staff weapon to prove it, but Mitchell, after shooting every Jaffa he came across with a Zat'nik'tel, makes it to the room and attacks, taking out the guards while Teal'c who is revealed to have been faking all along, shoots the Ba'al clone three times with the staff weapon, killing him. Realizing someone is still piloting the ship and that it is taking off, Mitchell, Teal'c and Bra'tac quickly make their way to the rings and escape before the ship leaves.(SG1: "Stronghold")

Aftermath

On Dakara, a vote establishes a democaracy for the Free Jaffa Nation and Ba'al's brainwashing over the Jaffa High Council members is broken, fully ruining his plan. (SG1: "Stronghold")
