Auxiliary control center

The auxiliary control center is an area in Atlantis that can be used in case the central control tower is non-operational for whatever reason (Foothold situations or whether central control room is destroyed).

Dr. McKay once visited the area when the expedition encountered the Tower. The area was used in Atlantis itself. When the Asurans took control of Atlantis, Atlantis 1 destroyed the central control room. While the Replicators were rebuilding the tower, they used the auxiliary control center. After the activation of the Attero device, which lead to the destruction of the Stargate and heavy damage caused by the explosion. Another area of the city served as the center for the Atlantis Expedition until the area was repaired. (ATL: "The Tower", "Rising, Part 2", "First Contact", "The Lost Tribe")
