Brooks was a Lieutenant in the United States Air Force and a member of SG-6.

2005[]
He and his unit were sent undercover to P2X-885 to monitor the activity of the Ori Priors and their efforts to convert the population to Origin. Airman Ryan and Lt. Fischer attended morning Prostration two days before their departure. There, the Prior preached and went around blessing the people. He touched Fischer's head. Thinking nothing of it, the Lieutenant did not place it in his report. Brooks later fell ill with the Prior plague, indicating that he was not a carrier. (SG1: "The Fourth Horseman, Part 1")
