"You guys are into some crazy crap, man!"
―Burke to Jack O'Neill and Daniel Jackson[src]

Burke was an Agent working with the Central Intelligence Agency.

Biography[]

Background information[]

He had history with Colonel Jack O'Neill, particularly during the time they were in Black Ops. On one mission, he was deployed with O'Neill and Woods. However, Woods went on to sell the rest of his team out. When Burke saw him betraying his team, Woods grabbed his weapon, but Burke was able to kill him first. In order to protect Woods' family, Burke decided not to tell them he was a traitor, and took the fall. Not coming forward with this cost him his friendship with O'Neill, his marriage to Hilary Burke and he was sent to an undesirable location in Honduras.

2003[]

Years later, Colonel Jack O'Neill and Burke crossed paths with each other again, this time to rescue Dr. Daniel Jackson and Dr. Bill Lee, who were kidnapped by Honduran rebels after they acquired the Ancient healing device in the hopes of reverse engineering it into a weapon to defeat Kull warriors. On the way, Burke admitted for the first time to anybody that Woods was a traitor, and he (Burke) had kept quiet to ensure his wife, Cindy Woods, would receive his pension.  He and O'Neill eventually rescued Dr. Jackson and Dr. Lee after they escaped and were hunted by the rebels. Burke was able to kill one of the rebels who was exposed to the healing device by destroying him with a grenade launcher. In return, O'Neill promised Burke that he would help find him a nicer assignment to a more temperate climate. (SG1: "Evolution, Part 2")

Notes[]

  • Enrico Colantoni is one of several actors (regulars, recurring, and guests) who have since appeared in creator Brad Wright's new program Travelers. In the series, he plays the overarching villain of Season 2, the original traveler who arrived from the future long before anyone else, on 9/11. Over time he parted ways ideologically with the shows protagonists to the point that he was their adversary by the time they arrived on the scene.
