Chloe Armstrong is a Tau'ri female from Earth. She is the daughter of deceased United States Senator Alan Armstrong.
As her father's assistant, she accompanied him to Icarus Base. When the facility came under attack, her father was injured in a corridor collapse; she helped him evacuate with the other survivors through the Stargate to what ended up being the Ancient vessel Destiny. (SGU: "Air, Part 1") She stayed close to her father's side for the first few hours aboard, until he regained consciousness, when she began exploring the ship's situation at his request.
She was horrified when her father sacrificed himself to seal an air leak. (SGU: "Air, Part 2") Chloe returned to Earth using a long-range communication device to tell her mother the news; the elder Mrs. Armstrong promptly turned to alcohol and threats. Unable to console her, Chloe returned to Destiny, assisted Lt. Johansen in treating Dr. Franklin's gunshot wound, and brought water to the heat-exhausted Lt. Scott. (SGU: "Air, Part 3") When it appeared that the ship was about to be destroyed in a red dwarf star, she chose to initiate a romantic liaison with Scott, telling him that he was the one person she felt closest to on the ship.
Chloe began a friendship with Eli Wallace when the two met aboard the General Hammond. She later asked him to show her how the shower facilities aboard Destiny worked and to stand guard while she bathed. She appeared to be unaware of Eli's romantic interest in her, even when he displayed jealousy over her relationship with Scott. When Scott was chosen to pilot the evacuation shuttle, Chloe decided to spend her last moments with Eli, watching the spectacle of the approaching star from the observation deck. Chloe was reunited with Scott after Destiny replenished its energy within the star and the shuttle was recovered. (SGU: "Light")
Chloe is chosen by Colonel Young to act as attorney for his defense during the inquiry regarding the death of Sergeant Spencer. She ably defends Young despite attempts by Camile Wray to control the proceedings, insisting that proper legal procedure be followed. As a result, Wray is forced to end the trial for lack of evidence.
