Cocoon

Cocoons are what the Wraith use to preserve Humans for future feedings. Releasing a sticky, web-like substance (one they appear to be able to release naturally) they are capable of preserving a human in stasis almost indefinitely. The victims are virtually immobile, but some limited movement is possible. Though horrified at being held in one, Rodney McKay actually found cocoons to be quite comfortable, taking all pressure of the spine and warming the victims with the rather cold hive ship.
