Dave Kleinman is a pilot in the United States Air Force, holding the rank of Captain. Since 2005, he has been a bridge officer aboard the USAF Daedalus, accompanying that ship on its first mission and most of those that followed over the next year and a half. (ATL: "The Siege, Part 3")
When the Deadalus was dispatched to intercept a pair of Wraith hive ships on their way to Earth, Colonel Steven Caldwell specifically instructed Kleinman to configure all of the Daedalus' missiles to launch as soon as the ship exited hyperspace — a task that he doubted was possible, but nonetheless managed to accomplish. He was also involved in repairing the ship after the battle. (ATL: "No Man's Land")
He has since disappeared with no explanation and been replaced by Major Marks who used to be on the Odyssey.

Kleinman's name has never been spoken on screen; Colonel Caldwell addresses him as "Weps" (though this could have been short for "Weapons") and he is credited as "Daedalus Tech" or "Airman." His name and rank have consistently been shown on his flight suit, however.
