A defibrillator is a device that is used to generate an electrical current through a human body in order to restore the natural rhythm in the heart. They usually contain two paddles. The defibrillator was created by the Tau'ri, where they usually have them in Stargate Command, Atlantis, and even portable versions in Puddle Jumpers.
