- "It's a digital voice recorder. Speak into it, we'll plug it in, and your report will be automatically transcribed and filed with the others."
- ―Richard Woolsey[src]
A digital voice recorder is a piece of audio recording technology used to dictate notes. When plugged in, the words that it recorded are automatically transcribed and filed away. (SGA: "The Prodigal")
History[]
In 2005, when Ford's Coalition abducted AR-1, Dr. Elizabeth Weir used a voice recorder for a data burst transmission where she informed that several modifications could streamline their power consumption and that Colonel John Sheppard's team were still missing. (SGA: "The Lost Boys")
In 2008, when Richard Woolsey inquired as to why Ronon Dex had never given him a mission report, Ronon mentioned he was not good at writing, so Woolsey gave him a digital recorder to record his mission reports. Ronon's first report was as such: "Mission report: Michael invaded Atlantis, tried to blow it up, we stopped him. End of report." (SGA: "The Prodigal")
