The Doci was once the Chief Prior who spoke the word of the Ori. He resided in the City of Celestis, his chambers adjacent to the Flames of Enlightenment.

"Great holy armies shall be gathered and trained to fight all who embrace evil. In the name of the Gods, ships shall be built to carry the warriors out among the stars and we will spread Origin to all the unbelievers. The power of the Ori will be felt far and wide and the wicked shall be vanquished."

The Doci was the most devout believer in Origin. Like the rest of the Priors, however, he was unaware of the true nature of the Ori. Arguing with him about faith was pointless. Dr. Daniel Jackson made his position clear to the Doci, who then led him to witness the Flames of Enlightenment, granting him an audience with the Ori themselves. The Doci often served as a direct mouthpiece for the Ori, who literally spoke through him. When this happened, his eyes glowed a fiery red. After his encounter with Dr. Jackson the Ori spoke through the Doci, giving the order for more Priors and the construction of ships to spread Origin to every corner of creation. (SG1: "Origin")

Later, as the Priors sought to convert Dakara and all the Jaffa in the galaxy, the power of the Ori brought the Jaffa leader Gerak's mind to the City of Celestis as his physical form remained on Dakara. There it was the Doci who officiated as Gerak was transformed into a Prior of the Ori in order for the Ori to gain an important ally within the Jaffa High Council. 2007Edit

When SG-1 was captured at Ortus Mallum after finding the Ark of Truth the Doci and the Priors tortured Dr. Daniel Jackson, Vala Mal Doran and Tomin before Vala was brought before Adria. When they tried to activate the Ark the Doci showed up and was protected from a Ori staff weapon blast with a personal shield. He knocked out Teal'c and Tomin and eventually was witness to the opening and activation of the Ark. Gazing into it, he also transmitted the programming in the Ark to the other Priors in the Ori home galaxy, causing them to believe that the Ori were not gods and significantly weakening Adria's power. After the destruction of Adria and Morgan Le Fay, he immediately surrendered begging for mercy as he realized how wrong he was. He then broke down crying. (SG1: "The Ark of Truth")
