Erin Gant

Erin Grant was a senior officer on board the Earth ship Prometheus, serving under Colonel William Ronson. Her station is to the starboard side of the command chair on the bridge of the ship. Gant carries a presence of loyalty and an adherence to authority, and resonates as being a strong and capable officer.

Gant was present during Prometheus' first test run using the new naquadria-based hyperdrive. Ronson assigned her considerable responsibility for both the ship's systems and personnel, instructing her to schedule a hull breach simulation after the ship was underway. After the ship's hyperdrive core was damaged in mid-flight, she worked with Major Samantha Carter to examine the device. Gant and the rest of the Prometheus crew were ultimately forced to land on Tagrea, where they hoped a replacement engine core could be brought from Earth via the Stargate. (SG1: "Memento")

The following year, Gant retained her bridge position when the Prometheus came under attack by an unidentified alien vessel; she, along with the rest of the crew save Major Carter, went missing in the course of the battle and reappeared after Carter offered the aliens a way out of a gas cloud that had ensnared both vessels. Gant also served under General George Hammond when he led the Prometheus into battle against Anubis' fleet. During that engagement, she also served as the ship's pilot. (SG1: "Lost City, Part 2")
