Escape pod

An Escape pod is a small, usually single-manned vessel used for escaping a larger vessel in case of a serious emergency. The Prometheus is known to have escape pods. (SG1: "Grace") Goa'uld Tel'taks are also known to possess escape pods, which resemble sarcophagi. (SG1: "Jolinar's Memories") Anubis' Mothership possessed a larger escape pod that was able to travel through hyperspace. (SG1: "Homecoming")
