John Prior is a male Tau'ri. He was the advance man for President Henry Hayes.

He traveled to Stargate Command to make sure everything was in order for the President's visit. During his time at the SGC, he was critical of Brigadier General Jack O'Neill's leadership in the handling of the alien plant outbreak which was taking over the SGC. He was planning to cancel President Hayes visit to the facility, however O'Neill convinced him to allow for more time, which proved successful. (SG1: "Zero Hour")
