Layale is a female Vyan from the planet Vyus.

She lost her memory and became physically younger in the Vorlix and took on the name Mayris. She volunteered to travel to Stargate Command and take part in the research to find a cure for the memory loss. After Nodal regained his memory, he revealed her that they had been married for over 43 years. (SG1: "Past and Present")
