Galar, also known as Galara, was a planet in the Milky Way galaxy under Asgard protection via the Protected Planets Treaty. The inhabitants of the planet are known as the Galarans. The planet's level of development is roughly similar to, or slightly above, that of Earth, and the Galaran continue to maintain friendly relations with the Tau'ri. Scientists on Galar have recently developed a technology for implanting memories in the hopes of drastically speeding up their learning process, much as the Orbanians have done.
