Helcen was a native of her home world, Lucius' Planet.
She became one of Lucius Lavin's six wives before the Atlantis Expedition became aware of Lucius' activities. After they learnt his reason why people started to love him and get sick, due to Lucius' herb, Dr. Beckett engineered a serum that neutralises the effect of the herb. After she learnt the truth, she most likely divorced him. (ATL: "Irresistible")
