Iris Deactivation Code

Iris deactivation codes (IDCs) are authorization codes sent by offworld Stargate Command personnel using GDOs to signal the gate operator to open the Stargate iris. Every SG team has an assigned IDC, which is periodically changed, although the system still recognizes old codes and displays proper warnings. (SG1: "Gemini"). Codes are also changed when breaches of security occur that could cause a code to come into the possession of hostiles. (SG1: "Foothold")

Two such codes were assigned to allies of the SGC: Bra'tac and the Tok'ra.

Jack O'Neill's iris deactivation code was 903 224 637 in (SG1: "Unnatural Selection").
