The Jaffa Key was a portable Dial Home Device held on a leather brace, weighing about the same as a medium barbell, used by at least one of Apophis' Serpent Guards; Nekhmet. To operate it, you had to rotate an inner dial to the co-ordinates you required then push a button on top of it. Colonel Jack O'Neill stole one such device from the dead body of Nekhmet, having just killed him, and used it to dial the Stargate on Saqqara in order to transport him to M'kwethet. Shortly thereafter he used it to return to Saqqara, but gave it to the young Clein'dori before stepping through the wormhole so that she could save her people from future Goa'uld attacks.
