Jolan of Geshrel was a Jaffa and member of the Sodan. After Cameron Mitchell and Jolan's brother Volnek seriously wounded each other in the Sodan's first encounter with SG-1, Jolan treated Mitchell's injury and trained him to fight in the Kel shak lo ritual — in which Jolan intended to kill him. During the training, he started to respect Mitchell, eventually agreeing to help him return to Earth by faking his death during the ritual. (SG1: "Babylon")
Jolan was killed by Volnek when the latter went mad due to the actions of a Prior, slaughtering the Sodan. (SG1: "Arthur's Mantle")
