Kalakek was the leader of the Reetou rebel faction who was dedicated to destroying the Goa'uld by any means necessary. It was his plan that resulted in the attack on Stargate Command though he did not accompany the terrorist strike as he was too valuable to sacrifice in the suicidal move. He did not hate the Tau'ri but he believed that the fact that Humans could be taken as hosts made them a valuable resource to the System Lords and thus he was determined to deny his enemies this source of hosts. To Kalakek, destroying humanity was no more amoral than destroying a factory or an ammunition dump.
Kalakek was described as a canny as well as patient foe. It's unknown if the Tau'ri had any further encounters with him or what his eventual fate was after the defeat of the Goa'uld Empire. (RPG: "Friends and Foes: Stargate Season Two")
