Lieutenant Kemp was a military member of the Atlantis Expedition, who started operating there since at least the latter half of 2007. In 2008, he was killed in action whilst on a routine mission to evacuate the Sions from M9R-373, which was on the path of the Asurans' plan to defeat the Wraith by depleting their food supply.
