Kiang is a botanist and a member of the Atlantis expedition. In 2008, she and Dr. Parrish were escorted to the mainland of M35-117 by Lt. Colonel John Sheppard. During this trip Sheppard was taken hostage by the Sekkari artificial intelligence. (SGA: "Remnants")
