Lo'taur

Lo'taurs, also spelled Lotar, and literally meaning "You, human", in the Gua'uld language, are personal attendants to the Goa'uld, since the Jaffa served a strictly military function. A lo'taur was the most trusted servant of the Goa'uld, and learned many secret things about their masters. They are also valuable to have near by: if a Goa'uld host is injured beyond the symbiote's capacity to heal, they would be able to take the lo'taur as a host (SG1: "Summit", "Last Stand", "Abyss").
