Maneuvering thrusters are one of three methods of propulsion on Daedalus-class and Prometheus-class ships—the other being the hyperdrive and sublight drive. While manoeuvering thrusters are by far the slowest form of propulsion, they are able to make slight adjustments to a ship's trajectory and to help gain momentum.
