While at the Chaco Canyon, a city in New Mexico, Krahwinkle who was also on his term break participated in an unofficial, private dig. He soon discovered a Stele with Krahwinkle soon realizing he was onto something big which prompted him to call Dr. Daniel Jackson, the one professional Krahwinkle knew would hear him out.
