When Stargate Command sought to find the missing Colonel Jack O'Neill and Captain Samantha Carter, they discovered that they were in an area not far from McMurdo. (SG1: "Solitudes")
Before he joined the Atlantis expedition, Major John Sheppard was stationed at McMurdo as a pilot. His post was a consequence of defying orders in Afghanistan. (SGA: "Rising", "Flipside")
Alternate timeline
- In an alternate timeline created by Ba'al, a team uncovered the second Stargate and the Control chair to defeat Ba'al's fleet from attacking Earth. However, Teal'c, who was his First Prime found out about this, and Qetesh ordered him to destroy the base. The base was destroyed. (SG1: "Continuum")
