Michael Shanks, was born on December 15, 1970 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He currently resides there with his wife Lexa Doig.
He met Lexa on the set of the Andromeda episode "Star-Crossed", and they married on August 8, 2003. They had a daughter (Mia Tabitha) on September 13, 2004 and a son (Samuel David) on March 19, 2006.
