Plot
In this episode, Teal'c is asked by Carter to come to Atlantis and teach Ronon how to deal with the IOA in his performance review. After some tense interaction between the two, which involved an hour-long sparring match, Teal'c and Ronon head to Earth via the Midway space station. While the pair are waiting for the standard 24 hour quarantine at the station, Midway comes under attack by groups of Wraith that have discovered the operational gate bridge station based on information from Todd.
The Wraith take control of the Midway station and use a device to stun everyone in the SGC in order to establish a beachhead. When Teal'c and Ronon pursue the Wraith through the Milky Way Stargate they arrive at Stargate Command only to discover that the base has been compromised and there are piles of bodies lying at every turn. Ultimately a strike team from Atlantis comes to Midway and defeats the Wraith there, but more keep coming and everyone except Sheppard, McKay, Dr. Lee, Kavanagh and two marines in the control room are killed. McKay and Lee discover that the Wraith booby trapped the gate controls and work on terminating gate activity. Kavanagh, thinking he is smarter than Lee and McKay and knows what to do, shuts down the Gate using a critical-systems bypass command. This shuts down the gate but triggers the booby-trapped self-destruct and they are unable to stop it. McKay vents the atmosphere in the station killing all the Wraith there and nearly Sheppard who manages to survive by getting into a space suit. With all of the Wraith dead the group head to a Jumper that's set up as an escape pod and fly away just before Midway Station is destroyed.
At Stargate Command Teal'c and Ronon find most of the people just stunned and make their way through the base, which has been locked down due to the Wraith incursion, killing Wraith as they go. They run into a member of the IOA who calls in the military to nuke the base and wants Ronon to help him while Teal'c holds off the Wraith. Ronon refuses and rushes to Teal'c's aid. Together the two take out the rest of the Wraith. The IOA are impressed by Ronon's actions and grant him their approval to be part of an SG team. Some time later in the void between the two galaxies the crew of the Jumper except for Sheppard are playing games and talking to pass the time when there's a slight bang and the door opens revealing Ronon. The Daedalus arrived at the position where the Midway Station used to be on its way back to Atlantis and picked them up. They never knew because Sheppard locked himself in the front of the Puddle Jumper wearing a pair of headphones after just a day with Lee and Kavanagh.
