[edit] Biography

[edit] 2004

Lt. Col. Cameron Mitchell is an accomplished F-302 pilot and led the F-302 squadron in the battle with Anubis over Antarctica. He was gravely injured in the battle, protecting the lives of SG-1 as they gained access to the Antarctic outpost and the Ancient weaponry powerful enough to destroy Anubis' attacking fleet. Mitchell was promised a position in Stargate Command once he made a complete recovery. (SG1: "Lost City, Part 2", "Avalon, Part 1")

He chose to join SG-1, but upon his entry into the Stargate Program, he found that he was to become the commander of SG-1 and pick his team. Mitchell wanted to have the former members of SG-1 on his team and set about rounding them up from their new assignments or retirements. He became the new commanding officer of the reunited SG-1, which included Dr. Daniel Jackson, Teal'c, Vala Mal Doran, and eventually, Lt. Col. Samantha Carter. (SG1: "Avalon, Part 1", "The Ties That Bind", "Beachhead", "Ex Deus Machina")

He was once captured by the Sodan after he wounded Volnek. He was trained by his brother, Jolan for Kel shak lo, after they thought he died, where he was actually recovering back in Stargate Command. Eventually he was trained enough and has since used the Sodan fighting techniques for future missions. (SG1: "Babylon")

[edit] 2007–2008

Sometime after dealing with the Ori threat, and before the extraction of Ba'al Mitchell was promoted to full Colonel. His self from a now alternate reality is the one to finally kill the real Ba'al by shooting him in the head.

[edit] Service Awards and Decorations

Over the course of his military career, Cameron Mitchell has received a number of awards and decorations for his service in the United States Air Force. (SG1: "Avalon")

[edit] Personal life

Mitchell was one of at least two children. He grew up in the American south, raised by his mother and father. His father was a test pilot, and Cameron followed in his footsteps, becoming an Air Force pilot himself. Mitchell has also made references to his grandmother, a very devout Christian, who had a deep impact on his life.

[edit] Alternate realities

  • In an alternate reality Cameron Mitchell was part of an SG-1 that was ordered to travel through to our reality with the goal of getting a ZPM. This ZPM was going to be used to power the Ancients' drones against the Ori incursion of Earth. (SG1: "Ripple Effect")
  • In an alternate reality Carter accidentally travelled to, Mitchell didn't 100% recover, because the "expensive doctors" purposely used a set back on his therapy, but was treated so he could walk. After criticising the programme for its martial law, he was given no more treatment and now will spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair and stays in his apartment where he says he doesn't have to worry about curfew or being detained without charged. (SG1: "The Road Not Taken")
  • In a now alternate reality, Ba'al changed time and Mitchell never existed. The Mitchell of our reality traveled to this new reality through the Stargate and lived there for a year before a Goa'uld attack occured. This version of Mitchell traveled back in time to set things right and finally killed the real Ba'al before he could change things, setting history back on track. It is unknown what happened to this Mitchell afterwards, but he was pictured standing next to his grandfather and his grandfather's ship in a picture possesed by the Cameron Mitchell of the correct reality. (Stargate: Continuum)
