|Out of universe information|
Sometime in 2007, he was sent to New Athos to fit into the Athosian village where one day, several people stormed the village and kidnapped them. He was later seriously injured by the Bola Kai, who arrived on the planet and left him for dead. He was found by Dr. Jennifer Keller and Teyla Emmagan, who took him to be treated whilst in hiding from the Bola Kai. He made the cover story by saying he was working with the Genii, and that the Bola Kai alerted the Wraith to the Athosians. He later confessed that it was a lie, and told the women that the Athosians are still alive. He knocked out Teyla to try and get the gate address to Atlantis. However, Keller shot Nabel in the leg, wounding him, but he got away just as the women were rescued from a Bolo Kai attack group by Lt. Colonel John Sheppard, Dr. Rodney McKay and Ronon Dex. After searching the planet, they couldn't find Nabel, meaning he had escaped. (SGA: "Missing")
Around six months later, he made another appearance to Lt. Colonel John Sheppard's team when he ambushed them with a FN P90 Personal Defense Weapon he acquired from a weapons cache on New Athos. Ronon Dex shot him and sent him back to be treated in Atlantis. The expedition wanted to know where Teyla Emmagan was, as she was kidnapped earlier. Nabel said he couldn't because Michael Kenmore has spies in the entire Pegasus Galaxy and that he would be killed. However, Sheppard offered him asylum in another galaxy. He gave them the gate address to the planet Michael was holding Teyla and all the Athosians, which later resulted in the rescue of the Athosians, and ultimately Teyla.
