New York City is the largest city in the United States of America, approximately the size of Atlantis, and one of Earth's most important cities. It is located at the mouth of the Hudson River in the southern part of the state of New York.
Daniel Jackson was probably raised in New York City and Catherine Langford lived there in 1969. The New York Museum of Art is also probably located here. (SG1: "The Gamekeeper", "1969")
