Norm Woods was a doctor stationed at the Antarctica base. He was amongst the people who found the Ancient woman Ayiana in the ice. In 2002, he was infected with the Ancient contagion she was carrying. This caused him to lose consciousness while on is way back to the base from the dig site. When he was found by Colonel Jack O'Neill and Teal'c, he had severe frostbite but this and the contagion were cured by Ayiana's healing power. (SG1: "Frozen")
