Oberoth

Oberoth was High Counselor of Asuras. When Atlantis 1 arrived on Asuras, he was arrogant toward them, implying that they were beneath his notice. After personally probing the minds of the team, he ordered the Asuran city-ship to leave to destroy Atlantis. He also believed they should kill the Tau'ri, and ridiculed Niam's desire to ascend. Oberoth was destroyed when the Asuran city-ship was destroyed in orbit over Lantea. However, his consciousness survived in the Asurans' subspace network, and he replicated a new body. When Sheppard, McKay, Weir, and Ronon infiltrate Asuras and steal a ZPM, he ends up in a mental duel with Dr. Elizabeth Weir who fights him using her new nanite induced abilities to buy them enough time to get away by using him to take control of the Collective and freeze them. He seriously underestimates her and she tricks him making him think he overpowers her and captures the team while in reality they are getting away. When she eventually weakens he regains control and captures her, but her sacrifice allows the others to get away. He is presumably destroyed along with the rest of the Asurans when McKay, with the help of a replicator he created called Fran, turns them into a giant nanite blob and blows up the planet.
