Opher was one of the four Nox that SG-1 encountered when they arrived on Gaia. He was also among the oldest of the Nox, being 432 years old. Unlike Anteaus, he appeared eager to be friends with the Tau'ri, believing that they had much to teach the new comers. (SG1: "The Nox")
