An Orbanian nanite is a microscopic device which is injected into Urrone Orbanian children and attaches itself to the neurons in the brain, allowing the children to obtain a far greater amount of knowledge than is possible. On their 13th birthday the nanites are removed and injected into every adult and non-Urron children, to disseminate the knowledge among the population. The process leaves the children without the memories of their 13 years, and leaves their mind in an infant state. The nanites were created in an Orbanian lab 49 years prior to the episode.
