The Ori possess some of the most advanced technology found, easily surpassing Tau'ri, Goa'uld, and many other races. Though the Ori are ascended beings and quite powerful in their own right, they cannot take direct action in the lower planes without evoking the wrath of the ascended Ancients, and so they have developed incredibly advanced technology to advance their goals in the corporeal plane.

OverviewEdit

Ori technology ranges from the biological to the mechanical, and most, if not all, of their technology is created and used for the purpose of gathering worshippers in order to increase their own power. Any discovered technology created prior to their ascension is destroyed with no exceptions, lest their human worshippers doubt their validity as gods. Ori technology is compatible with, and has many similarities to, the technology use by the Ancients before their ascension, as they both originally lived together as one society: the Alterans. Despite, or perhaps because of, the incredibly advanced state of their technology, the Ori tend to rely solely on brute force to overwhelm "non-believers", as opposed to creativity, ingenuity, or any kind of tactics.
