|Out of universe information|
Oshu was the last in a line of clones created by Yu because of his love for his original Royal Guard, Sun Tzu. Brought up as a son of his god, Oshu later went on to replace his master's former First Prime, Shin Kun. (SG1: "Four Dragons", "Living Gods: Stargate System Lords")
As Yu had already began to suffer from senility, Oshu was forced, just like Shin Kun before him, to begin making decisions for Yu. Oshu was well aware of the truth about his master not being a god, admitting as much to Teal'c when he began to note that Yu's mental state was declining as a result of prolonged Sarcophagus use; however, Oshu still maintained his loyalty to Yu. Despite this, he contacted Ba'al to ask for his assistance in coordinating the attack against Anubis' mothership when Yu began to make poor combat decisions. Oshu told Ba'al that Yu's fleet would follow him, while he would obey Ba'al so long as Ba'al's actions resulted in the destruction of Anubis, thus benefiting Yu. (SG1: "Homecoming", "Fallen")
Oshu performed well at covering his master's senility, so much so that Yu was selected to negotiate with the Tau'ri for help against Ba'al. When he and the rest of the Goa'uld delegation were imprisoned after the Tau'ri learned that the Goa'uld had sent a Ha'tak to attack Earth, Oshu convinced Dr. Elizabeth Weir to release the delegation so that they could join the fight against Ba'al and die with honor if necessary. (SG1: "New Order, Part 1", "New Order, Part 2")
At a meeting in the Hasara space station, Ba'al sent Selkhet to negotiate Yu's surrender. Replicator Carter arrived, posing as Samantha Carter, and ran a blade through Yu's chest, finally killing him and Oshu. (SG1: "Reckoning, Part 1")
