P3A-577 was a planet in the Milky Way galaxy which held a Stargate. It was one of the first two planets recommended by Captain Samantha Carter's team of scientists as a possible destination for SG-1 or SG-2 after their first return from Chulak. General George Hammond assigned the planet to SG-1 but, upon discovering that Major Charles Kawalsky had been infected by a Goa'uld symbiote, the mission was scrubbed. After Kawalsky's death, SG-1 was reassigned to P3-575 for unknown reasons. (SG1: "The Enemy Within")
