P5C-353 was the planet in the Milky Way galaxy which died over a millennia ago and is now a barren moon-like world with no atmosphere. The organisms that inhabited the planet created an orb where they slept for the last 100,000 years waiting for someone to find them and take them through the Stargate. Unknowingly, SG-1 found the orb and brought it back to Earth. (SG1: "Message in a Bottle")
