Pluto is the first of the plutoids in the Kuiper belt in the Solar system. It was once thought to be the solar system's ninth planet until 2006 when it was re-classified. Dr. Rodney McKay was quite disappointed by this and was somewhat angry at Neil deGrasse Tyson, as he played a part in doing that. (ATL: "Brain Storm")
