"Are we talking about a anti-Prior gun here? Because I don't remember seeing the word "gun" anywhere in here."
Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell[src]

The Prior disruptor, also known as an Anti-Prior device, is a counter measure developed by Stargate Command to counter the Priors of the Ori. It was based on readings and information they were able to acquire from studying Khalek, a genetically engineered human created by Anubis who possessed abilities similar to the Priors (SG1: "Prototype").

The device releases sonic frequencies in omnidirectional paths, though the range is unknown. The frequencies block the specific portions of the Priors brain, which allow them to use their special abilities such a telekinesis and telepathy, as well as activating their staffs. The Priors are, however, able to overcome the device after some time, although it is still able to negate their abilities long enough for SG teams to take them out while powerless. (SG1: "The Fourth Horseman, Part 1", "The Fourth Horseman, Part 2", "The Ark of Truth") The device also works on the Orici, who is far more powerful than the Priors. (SG1: "The Shroud", "Dominion")

The Ancient Morgan Le Fay created a more powerful version of the device using Ancient technology which cannot be overcome, even by the Orici. It was present in her system used to guard Merlin and the Sangraal. (SG1: "The Quest, Part 1")

A clone of Ba'al used a prison cell that was located in the middle of a large empty room flooded with electromagnetic radiation to stop Adria from escaping and killing him before he could take her as a host, after he had used Asgard beaming technology to abduct her. However the captain of the Odyssey referred to it having the "same EM radiation" as the anti-prior device, which is inconsistent with the description provided in The Fourth Horseman, Part 2.
